Final logistics for Oct. 31 ASU home football game

Washington State University has finalized the logistics surrounding the Thursday, Oct. 31, home football game, including discounted tickets for faculty and staff who want to stay and attend the game.

WSU will host Arizona State University in a Pac-12 Conference contest at 7:30 p.m. in Martin Stadium, broadcast nationally by ESPN. WSU, like all Pac-12 schools, is obligated to play weeknight games once every three years as part of the Pac-12 television contract with ESPN.

In an effort to ensure safety and ease of travel throughout the campus for faculty, staff, students and incoming fans, classes have been cancelled from noon on for the Pullman campus. Morning classes are optional at the discretion of the faculty member.

Despite the cancellation of afternoon classes, the Pullman campus will observe normal business office hours. Working with their supervisors, employees may have the option to:

  • Flex their schedule for the work week to accommodate being gone;
  • Telecommute; or
  • Take annual leave, personal holiday or leave without pay.

Human Resource Services has a detailed FAQ webpage for all categories of employees at http://hrs.wsu.edu/File/ParkingLotClosureFrequentlyAskedQuestions.pdf.
