President Glenn Terrell Celebration of Life

Terrell MemorialPULLMAN, Wash. — A Celebration of Life Ceremony honoring the life and legacy of former Washington State University President Glenn Terrell was held Thursday in the Terrell Library Atrium on the WSU Pullman campus. Dr. Terrell, who served as president from 1967 to 1985, died Friday, Aug. 30, at the age of 93.

Speakers included WSU President Elson S. Floyd as well as former WSU Presidents V. Lane Rawlins and Sam Smith. WSU Regent Scott Carson made remarks as did Professor Emeritus Carol Gordon, WSU Foundation Board of Governors member Mikal Thomsen, and Glenn Terrell III. Paul Casey, ASWSU president during part of Dr. Terrell’s tenure, served as master of ceremonies.

“He played a pivotal role in shaping Washington State University into the fine institution it is today, and we want to acknowledge and honor that contribution,” said WSU President Elson S. Floyd.
