Heart concert highlights Dad’s Weekend

PULLMAN, Wash. – Heart – the legendary band inducted in 2013 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – will headline this year’s Dad’s Weekend concert, 7:30 p.m. Oct 11, at Beasley Coliseum.

Led by sisters lead singer Ann Wilson and guitarist Nancy Wilson, Heart rose to fame in the mid-1970s with music influenced by hard rock, heavy metal and folk. The North American band first found success in Canada and Seattle and later in the United States and worldwide. They have sold more than 30 million records.

The group recorded hits like “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man,” “Barracuda” and “Straight On.” But the creativity didn’t stop. In following years came “These Dreams,” “Alone,” “What About Love,” “If Looks Could Kill” and “Never.” Recent hits include “Jupiter’s Darling” (2004), “Red Velvet Car” (2010), and :Fanatic” (2012).

Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 26, at Beasley Coliseum box office and through TicketsWest outlets.
