Chat + multimedia = VoiceThread

WSU faculty can add a new dimension to student engagement with VoiceThread, a program that allows interaction through recorded audio, video, and nearly any other format.

While VoiceThread is primarily used in online courses, it’s also applicable to online components of on-campus courses. It would be useful, for example, in courses following the “flipped” model, in which students view materials outside class, and use class time for discussion.

WSU’s Global Campus will offer a one-hour introduction to VoiceThread at 1 p.m. Aug. 5 in Van Doren Hall 102 on the Pullman campus, or by webinar on August 22 at 1 p.m. To join either online or in-person, please sign up on the website: http://teach.wsu.edu/training_resources/eLearnTools.aspx.
