Lind Field Day offers breeding program updates, more

LIND, Wash. – The 97th annual Lind Field Day will be held Thursday, June 13, at the Washington State University Dryland Research Station north of Lind. It is free to the public. Washington pesticide and CEU (continuing education) credits have been requested.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and a field tour starts at 9 a.m. A complimentary lunch and program will be followed by an ice cream social.

WSU administrators, state legislators and wheat industry leaders will provide updates during the noon program. Research presentations will include updates on the winter and spring wheat breeding programs and information about recent stripe rust outbreaks, weed control in wheat, biosolids for dryland wheat and row spacing in winter wheat.
