Graduation ceremonies honor 2,655 students

PULLMAN, Wash. – About 2,655 students – a record number – participated in the Washington State University Pullman commencement ceremonies on May 4 at Beasley Coliseum.

David Ensor, journalist and director of Voice of America, was the featured speaker at the 8 a.m. ceremony for the College of Business, Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and College of Education.

Roger Myers, executive director of electric propulsion and integrated systems for Aerojet, was the featured speaker at the 11:30 a.m. ceremony for the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences, College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy and College of Veterinary Medicine (B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. candidates).

Sam Sumner Reed, former Washington secretary of state, gave the address at the 3 p.m., College of Arts and Sciences ceremony.

  • College of Veterinary Medicine DVM, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, Beasley Coliseum.
  • WSU Tri-Cities, 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, Toyota Center.
  • WSU Vancouver, 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, Sleep Country Amphitheater.
