Homelessness is topic of book, WSU author discussion

homelessness bookPULLMAN, Wash. – A free, public discussion about homelessness and a Washington State University professor’s book on the topic will be held at 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in the CUB Butch’s Den, room L60, as part of Civic Engagement Week.

Over two decades, WSU Vancouver professor Desiree Hellegers compiled a moving collection of stories from 15 Seattle homeless women for her book, “No Room of Her Own.” The work brings to light the dangers of homelessness as well as the spiritual lives and outlooks of the women. Hellegers will sign copies of her book.
