An Evening with WSU Alumnus Sherman Alexie at Beasley Coliseum

WSU alumnus, poet, comedian, and acclaimed author Sherman Alexie is making an appearance at WSU’s Beasley Coliseum on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Sherman Alexie may be most known for his novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian or his new release, Blasphemy. He’ll be holding a book signing following his speech- so be sure to pick up your copies of his books to get them autographed!

Even if you’re not inclined to read novels, you may have seen his movie Smoke Signals, which won the Filmmakers Trophy and Audience Award at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival.

Now living in Seattle, Washington, Alexie has been called “…one of the major lyric voices of our time,” by the New York Times Book Review and was named one of The New Yorker’s 20 top writers for the 21st century.
