Foley institute hosts discussion on gun control

PULLMAN, Wash. – The future of gun legislation will be discussed by a panel noon-1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Bryan Hall 308, part of the Washington State University Foley Institute’s Coffee & Politics series. Pop and pizza will be served; please RSVP to relgar@wsu.edu.
 
“Is Gun Control Necessary,” prompted by recent events that have put gun control in the national spotlight.
 
The panel will include Robin Ball, National Rifle Association election volunteer coordinator for the 5th Congressional District in Washington, and Daniel Byrne, voluntary spokesperson for the nonprofit organization Washington CeaseFire.
 
Byrne’s organization promotes gun safety and the reduction of gun violence throughout the state.
 
Ball is a firearms instructor and training counselor for the NRA and a certified firearms instructor for the Refuse to be a Victim program.
