You are Invited to “Composing the New Classroom: The Teaching and Learning Remix,” Session Two, (Day of)

If you teach, make assignments, or grade them, you will want to attend any or all of the eight faculty development sessions in spring on the popular topic of multimodality in teaching and learning.

What’s that? It means that it’s more effective to use more than one mode to communicate a point. Learning, comprehension, and retention of knowledge (cognition) is enhanced when visual, verbal, and auditory stimuli are added through the use of color, music, interactive illustrations, and more.

Faculty in diverse disciplines at WSU are already experts in multimodal teaching and learning and will share their techniques throughout the “Composing the New Classroom: The Teaching and Learning Remix” series, sponsored by the University College and hosted by the Writing Program.

You are invited to session two:
When: Today – Feb. 4, from noon to 1
Where: CUE 305
Featuring: Dave McLean (Civil and Environmental Engineering)
Topic: Best Practices for Incorporating Multimodal Communications into Our Senior Capstone Design Course
