Mike Trevisan named interim dean at WSU College of Education

PULLMAN, Wash. – Mike Trevisan will serve as interim dean of the Washington State University College of Education, WSU President Elson S. Floyd announced Tuesday, Dec. 4.
 
The appointment begins Jan. 1. Trevisan will succeed Dean A.G. Rud, who is stepping down to accept an endowed professorship in the college.
 
For the last two years, Trevisan has been the College of Education’s associate dean for research and external funding. He said his first priority as interim dean will be to offer his support to members of the college, including those in Spokane, the Tri-Cities and Vancouver.
 
“I will be visiting all campuses soon after my appointment to visit with faculty and administrators to ensure a smooth transition,” he said.
 
Trevisan, who holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Washington, is associate director of the WSU Learning & Performance Research Center. He has taught courses in program evaluation, student assessment, measurement and applied statistics.
