Former PhD student recognized for dissertation

Daniel Toro-González, a former Fulbright International Student Scholar at Washington State University, recently received the William Applebaum Memorial Scholarship from the Food Distribution Research Society for his dissertation he wrote while at WSU. 
The scholarship is awarded for outstanding graduate student research in food distribution and marketing.
Toro-González researched consumer preferences for beer and mint gum.  He worked on a methodology to predict consumer behavior concerning non-observable considerations of consumers.  He received his PhD in economics in May 2012.
Toro- González was invited to Puerto Rico to receive his award.
