Oct. 24: LandEscapes Launch Party, Terrell Library Atrium, 2:30-4 p.m. Celebrate the launch of WSU’s open access literary and arts journal and learn more about the Open Journal Systems platform!

Oct. 25: Keynote address, “Protecting Knowledge Rights” by Dr. David Parry of UT Dallas. 7 p.m., CUE 203. Dr. Parry writes for several online resources including his own blog, academhack.org. An open access advocate, his work has been featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education, NPR, and US News and World Report.

Oct. 26: Open Access and the Future of Humanities Publishing. A Colloquium with David Parry and Cheryl Ball. 12:10-1 p.m., Bundy Reading Room, Avery Hall.

Oct. 26: Spark your interest at Ignite: Open Access, Open Knowledge. Short attention span? No problem! Brief presentations on a variety of open access topics by WSU faculty. CUE 518, 2-4 p.m.
