Goldwaters support highly qualified future scientists, mathematicians, and engineers, and foster excellence in those fields.

Since 1990, WSU has had 15 Goldwater scholars from a range of STEM majors; six more received honorable mentions.

WSU’s Goldwater faculty representative Mary Sánchez Lanier, assistant vice provost and associate dean of the University College, says these info sessions kick start the process leading to application submissions to WSU by Dec. 3; the national deadline is Jan. 2013. Up to 300 scholarships will be awarded nationally.

Goldwaters cover eligible expenses for undergraduate tuition, fees, books, and room and board.
