Fulbright scholars, students to be welcomed at reception

PULLMAN, Wash. – Visiting international scholars and students will be welcomed to Washington State University at a public reception hosted by the WSU Fulbright Academy 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the Honors College lounge. Register to attend here.
 
Since its establishment in 1946, the Fulbright program has provided 300,000 students, faculty members, teachers, artists and scientists the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research with colleagues from other nations, furthering the Fulbright vision of finding peaceful solutions to problems of international concern.
 
Reception speakers will include: Matt Carroll, professor in the School of the Environment, discussing the Fulbright experience; Prema Arasu, vice provost of international programs, discussing the internationalization of WSU; and Mustaq Memon, associate professor in veterinary clinical sciences and Fulbright ambassador, discussing activities planned by the WSU Fulbright Academy this semester.
