Tickets for WSU Performing Arts’ fall season on sale

PULLMAN, Wash. – Individual and series tickets are on sale for the Washington State University Performing Arts (WSUPA) fall 2012 season. Performances in the Jones Theatre at Daggy Hall begin at 7:30 p.m. and include:
 
* Sept. 26: “Los Valientes – The Courageous Ones,” musical theater by CORE Ensemble celebrating the lives of three heroic Latinos. Paul Quiros portrays artist Diego Rivera, Archbishop Oscar Romero and outlaw Joaquim Murrieta, aka Zorro. Tickets: Adults $18, seniors $15, students/youth $8, WSU students free.
 
* Oct. 11: University of Texas Faculty Reed Trio presenting works by Mozart, Spisak, Tansmann and Villa-Lobos. Tickets: Adults $14, seniors $11, students/youth $8.
 
* Oct. 26 and 27: Cowboy poet Baxter Black – humorist, former large animal veterinarian and author of the most widely syndicated column in America – telling hilarious “Saddlebag Stories” about the flaws and foibles of people who live with livestock. Tickets: Adults $26, seniors $21, students/youth $13, WSU students $10.
 
* Nov. 9: “Of Mice and Men” – the classic American tale of two drifters written by Nobel and Pulitzer prize-winner John Steinbeck – performed by the Acting Company of New York and directed by Ian Belknap. Tickets: Adults $20, seniors $16, students/youth $12, WSU students $10.
 
* Nov. 30: Gothard Sisters’ Celtic holiday concert, starring championship Irish step dancers and fiddlers Willow, Greta and Solana Gothard. Tickets: Adults $14, seniors $11, students/youth $8.
 
Series tickets are $85 for five performances with choice of date for Baxter Black.
 
WSUPA’s 2012-2013 season will feature more than a dozen performances including theater, dance, musical theater, bluegrass, jazz, classical and comedy.
 
Tickets may be purchased: through Ticketswest – online at http://www.ticketswest.com and by phone at 800-325-7328; in person at Ticketswest outlets and the WSU Beasley Coliseum box office 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday; and at the Daggy Hall ticket office beginning two hours before each show.
