Two more days of picking sweet and tart cherries

PULLMAN, Wash. – There are plenty of sweet and tart cherries left to pick at Washington State University’s Tukey Orchard, as rain interrupted picking last Friday.

The fun continues 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, July 27, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, July 28. Local residents should bring their own containers for fruit. Apricots also will be available. Cash and check are the only payment methods accepted; no credit or debit cards will be taken.

Prices are:

  • Dark cherries, $2/pound
  • Rainier cherries, $3/pound
  • Pie cherries, $2/pound
  • Apricots, $2/pound
 

All orchard visitors are required to sign a risk and release form.

Tukey Orchard is located at the edge of the WSU Pullman campus, at the intersection of Airport Road and Terre View Drive, past the WSU Bear Center.
