TruckVault signs Ramora UK as a distributor in United Kingdom

SEDRO WOOLLEY, Wash. – The TruckVault company recently identified an unusual niche – the transportation of explosive/bomb detection devices – and has created a new international market for its products.

Secure in-vehicle storage units manufactured by TruckVault in Washington state will soon be available in the United Kingdom through a distributorship with Ramora UK, a leading global provider of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) services and training.
TruckVault is the leading manufacturer of secure storage units to fit a variety of vehicles and purposes, from gun lockers in law enforcement vehicles to surveyor tools in pickup trucks. At the Counter Terrorism Expo in London this April, Ramora UK exhibited a Range Rover that had been modified by TruckVault to safely transport sensitive robotic equipment used to detect explosive devices.

“The reports from the Counter Terrorism Expo have been extremely positive,” said Patricia Pienta, director of finance and international sales for TruckVault. “This opens up a whole new market for TruckVault, and we believe that our alliance with Ramora UK will prove to be a beneficial endeavor for both companies.”

According to Pienta, international trade experts with the Washington Small Business Development Center (SBDC) have been instrumental in helping TruckVault build an export plan and identify potential export markets. Along with setting up a distributorship in the United Kingdom, TruckVault is also exploring export markets in Brazil and Mexico. “This has all been accomplished in less than a year,” Pienta said.

David Welch, Ramora UK’s managing director, said establishing a business relationship with TruckVault makes sense. “Being able to adapt almost any type of vehicle for the safe transportation of specialist equipment provides much needed flexibility – and potential cost savings – in dealing with a range of different incidents,” he said.
