Tonight – Planting the Seeds for a Better Future: The Positive Impact of Plants on Personal and Community Wellbeing (Earth Day Reflection Session)

In our increasingly environmentally conscious society, we know that plants play an essential role in our world. Plants supply us with oxygen, have been essential in creating medicines, and provide us with food and a multitude of products. However, plants also give us a lot more. Join the Center for Civic Engagement as we discuss plants beyond their environmental benefits by looking at the way gardens have increased recovery times in hospital patients, provided solace in times of tragedy, and created a sense of community spirit in originally segregated neighborhoods. The CCE invites you to come reflect on plants in a compelling and thought-provoking way.

Please join us in CUB L45 from 5 PM to 7 PM on April 18. Everyone is welcome to attend, and students can sign up through SLPro from http://cce.wsu.edu/reflections to receive two reflection hours for participating. We look forward to seeing you at this event!
