PULLMAN, Wash. A global engagement talk and award presentation will highlight the Eighth Annual International Scholar Recognition Reception at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Honors Hall lounge. Refreshments will be served; harpist Daniella Clark will perform.
The event recognizes the contributions of international scholars. More than 500 are working at WSU this academic year. Certificates of appreciation will be given to departing exchange scholars in attendance.
Guest speaker Guy Palmer, Regents professor and director of WSU’s Paul G. Allen School of Global Animal Health, will talk about the importance of international engagement generally and the mission of the school specifically.
The Robert C. Bates Award (named for the WSU emeritus provost) will be presented by Bates to Jessica Cassleman, assistant dean of the Honors College, for her contributions to global engagement.
