WSU students present play to address bullying, speaking out

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University students will share their perspectives on the importance of stopping bullying and speaking out against it in a free, one-night performance, “It Starts Now,” at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in Jones Theatre in Daggy Hall on the Pullman campus.

The play is based on narratives written by students who want to share their stories as a way to speak up for themselves and for those whose voices are not present. The play intends to educate and challenge people to see life from someone else’s perspective.

The narratives encourage respectful communication as a way to stop bullying and create a culture of acceptance.

“It Starts Now” is sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment, the Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Resource Center, and WSU Performing Arts.
