SPOKANE, Wash.  – The Clinical Trials Research Team for the College of Pharmacy at Washington State University in Spokane is currently recruiting for patients with type 2 diabetes to participate in one of two long-term clinical studies.

Each of the trials involves the study of a medication and its effects on cardiovascular health. Participants would periodically report to the Health Sciences Building on the WSU Spokane campus, which has convenient parking for trial participants. The benefits of participating in this research include frequent contact with health care professionals, guidance on nutrition and activity and access to newly approved or investigational medication. Participants may be compensated for time and travel.

All studies are under the direction of Spokane physician Dr. Carol H. Wysham and College of Pharmacy assistant professor Joshua J. Neumiller.

Those interested in volunteering for the studies can call toll-free to 1-855-228-0832. Calls can also be placed to Debbie Weeks at 509-358-7733 or Linda Kunstmann at 509-358-7741.
