WSU alum appointed as scientific board chair

SEATTLE- Plandaí Biotechnology, Inc. announced Tom Matula, WSU alumnus and world-renowned physicist, has accepted the position of Chairman of the Scientific Board for Plandaí Biotechnology, Inc.
Matula serves as the affiliate associate professor of bioengineering and electrical engineering at the University of Washington.  He is also the director for both the Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound and Center for Ultrasound-based Molecular Imaging and Therapy.
 
As an entrepreneur, Matula has an expertise in medical and industrial applications of ultrasound, authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and has several patents in the medical devices landscape.
Matula received his Ph.D. in physics from Washington State University.
