Developing beans to replenish soil

 
 
 
PULLMAN, Wash. – Scientist Lynne Carpenter-Boggs traveled to three African nations this year on a project to develop bean varieties that will help replenish the ancient and depleted soils that many African farmers must contend with.
 
She is BIOAg research leader in the Washington State University Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources and an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Crop & Soil Sciences.
