Long-time professor, researcher, leader John Gorham dies

PULLMAN, Wash. – John Richard Gorham, a distinguished professor, researcher and leader in veterinary medicine at Washington State University, died on Oct. 14 at his Bishop Place residence where he had lived for the past six years.
 
Gorham, 88, was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture following his graduation from college and was a research leader for animal diseases at Pullman. He held this position until 1995, when he retired from the USDA. At the time of his death, he remained a professor in the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
