Under the Big Tent Debate – Global Food Security: How Do We Feed 6,965,235,243?

How do we feed almost 7 billion people? Do we have the resources? Is biotechnology and industrial agriculture the solution, or is organic and sustainable agriculture more promising? Poverty and hunger are on the rise. Countries around the world are experiencing water crises. The amount of arable land is declining due to climate change and environmental degradation. All of these challenges and more pose serious threats to global food security. How do we combat these issues? Come hear faculty, students and community leaders discuss their solutions to this global problem. Everyone is welcome to participate. The debate will take place on Monday, 10/24 at noon in the CUB Lair. We hope to see you at the debate!
