Common Reading Invited Lecture, Book Signing Tomorrow in Beasley

Richard A. Muller, author of “Physics for Future Presidents: The Science Behind the Headlines,” the 2011-12 Common Reading Program’s featured book, will deliver the program’s annual invited lecture at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Beasley Coliseum.

The UC-Berkeley physicist will sign copies of his book on the Beasley Concourse following the presentation, which is open to the public at no charge. His book is based on a course he teaches to non-science students at Berkeley.

Muller is also faculty senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory associated with the Institute for Nuclear and Particle Astrophysics, and is a frequent guest on broadcast media, writes for popular magazines, and has authored several books.This is the fifth Common Reading Invited Lecture in as many years.

The Common Reading is a program of the University College at WSU. The public is welcome.
