Learn how to better prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies by attending the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training starting September 23. This class focuses on several aspects of lifeguarding including Professional Rescue, First Aid and CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration and Bloodborne Pathogen training. Attendance is great for those interested in becoming a University Recreation Lifeguard since UREC Lifeguards must already have a Lifeguarding Certification to apply. The cost is $170 for Student Recreation Center members, $205 for non-members and registration closes September 20.
