Governor, legislators foresee another budget shortfall

 
Yesterday, I was in Olympia discussing the state’s economic outlook with the governor and key legislators. Based on those conversations, it is clear that when the updated revenue forecast is released on Thursday, our state will face a significant continuing budget shortfall.
 
While the numbers are not confirmed, the best estimates suggest that the deficit will be in the range of $1.5 billion to $2 billion.
