Nuclear Radiation Center Tour Opportunities

Faculty and staff are welcome to join WSU students on tours of the WSU Nuclear Radiation Center the week of Sept. 12-16, as part of the WSU Common Reading Program. During the tour, visitors will be able to see the reactor control room as well as to observe the reactor in operation. NRC staff members will lead discussions of radiation, reactor operation and safety, and use of the WSU reactor–the only research nuclear reactor in our state.

To sign up for a tour slot, come to CUE 519 or contact Karen Weathermon at 335-5488.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about part of the university with which you may not be familiar as well as to have discussion with undergraduates using this year’s Common Reading book, “Physics for Future Presidents.”
