Family Football Weekend promises tons of free fun

PULLMAN, Wash. – Free games, prizes, inflatables, food and photos will help Washington State University welcome fans for the 2011-12 football season 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Mooberry Track. The home game against the University of Nevada, Las Vegas begins at 2 p.m.
 
Little Cougar fans can enjoy games like hula hoop, hot potato and sightless dodgeball; play in the inflatable bounce house, slide and obstacle course; win prizes and giveaways; have their faces painted; get temporary tattoos, and get autographs from the WSU men’s and women’s basketball teams.
 
Butch T. Cougar will mingle with families for photos. Concessions will include pulled beef and pork sliders, chips, frozen lemonade, candy and grabbers (ice cream and cookie sandwiches) from Ferdinands in the WSU Creamery.
 
Other events planned on Family Football Weekend include Future Cougar Day, athletic complex tours, a recent-graduate tent party, a Cougar pub crawl and a campus art tour. To find out about all the activities, visit http://footballweekends.wsu.edu.
