Hurricane Irene thwarts talk on constitutions in African states

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Aug. 29 discussion about democratic experiments in sub-Saharan Africa has been canceled. Speaker Robert Elgie had to cancel due to Hurricane Irene.

Speaker Robert Elgie, Paddy Moriarty Professor of Government and International Studies at Dublin City University, has published extensively on comparative politics, semi-presidentialism and French politics. He recently wrote “Semi-presidentialism,” published by Oxford University Press.
