WSU star party lifts off with special jazz, food preview

 
 
PULLMAN, Wash. – Live jazz and grilled brats and hot dogs will add to the atmosphere of the next Washington State University star party Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Jewett Observatory.
 
Food and music by “The Unusual Suspects” will be in orbit 7-9 p.m. Telescope viewing will begin at 9 p.m.
 
A $5 donation for the food is suggested.
 
The observatory is located on a hilltop on the east side of campus, approximately at the intersection of Grimes Way and Olympia Avenue.
 
The star party will be hosted by the Palouse Astronomical Society and the WSU Department of Physics and Astronomy.
