WSU won’t impose 3 percent across-the-board salary cut

PULLMAN, Wash. – In the days since the Washington State Legislature passed its 2011-13 biennial budget, the WSU administration has been studying the document and talking with legislators and legislative staff to understand the budget’s impact more fully.
 
Throughout the budget discussions, WSU has argued for maximum flexibility in how to address a reduction in the state allocation. The university greatly prefers an approach that allows each university to determine its individual budget reduction plan consistent with its mission and goals.
