Tuition recommendations, public input planned in May

PULLMAN, Wash. – Last week, the Legislature passed a bill granting tuition-setting authority to the governing boards of Washington’s public universities.

The president has asked the provost and the chancellors of the regional campuses to work with the university budget office to come up with tuition recommendations for the four campuses.

The goal is to have a tuition recommendation to the president by May 23, which he will release May 24. Public input will be gathered May 24-31, followed by a tentatively scheduled special regents meeting for May 31 to finalize the recommendation.
