Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Commission looking for new members

The President’s Commission on Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation (GIESO) is seeking applications for new members.

The Commission advises the President on matters relating to the needs and concerns of the campus communities related to gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation. It also identifies and advocates for policies and services in support of these issues and informs campus communities about these policies and services.

We are looking for two Pullman undergraduate students, one Pullman graduate student, two Pullman staff/AP, two At-Large positions (from any campus), and a student from each of the urban campuses.

The commission meets in Lighty 403 from 11:00-12:00 on the first Thursday of each month during the school year, using video conferencing to connect the various campus members.

Please review the GIESO website for more information about the commission and find the application at: http://president.wsu.edu/office/presidential-committees/gender-sexual-orientation.html.

Applications are to be sent to Heidi Stanton (hstanton@wsu.edu) in the GIESORC Office in the CUB.

Please contact Jenifer McGuire (jkmcguire@wsu.edu) or Vernene Scheurer (scheurer@wsu.edu) with questions.
