Small Business Steps Up to Support WSU Tri-Cities Students

RICHLAND, Wash. – A recent donor to Washington State University Tri-Cities is challenging other small businesses to provide scholarships for students – the businesses’ potential future employees.

A brief program will be noon Thursday, April 28, in the West Building atrium, 2710 Crimson Way, Richland.

Featured will be Casey Bettendorf, a senior at WSU Tri-Cities and donor of the recent $5,000 Business Leadership Scholarship presented by Bettendorf’s Printing & Design. 

Other speakers will be:
• Brad Pitkin, a senior and president of the Business Club
• John Thornton, academic director of the College of Business programs and associate professor of accounting.
