Art silent auction benefits youth locally and in Ghana

PULLMAN, Wash. – Works by professional artists and Washington State University students will be sold at a silent auction benefit 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Gladish Community Center, sponsored by WSU’s Fine Arts Club.

Prices will range from $10 to $200. An optional donation is suggested for entry to the event, which will include a wine bar.

Proceeds from art sales and donations will be split evenly between the YMCA at WSU and the MMOFRA Foundation (http://childartsghana.org/index.html).

The YMCA at WSU serves hundreds of families in the Palouse through programs for school-aged children and Special Olympians. A registered student organization (RSO) at WSU, the Y engages hundreds of student volunteers throughout the academic year to run and participate in the service programs.
