Groups collaborate in Sexual Assault Awareness Week

Last week when U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan spoke to the National Summit on Gender-Based Violence among Young People, he recognized the efforts of Washington State University to address this important issue, noted WSU President Elson S. Floyd in his most recent Perspectives column.

… At WSU, this week is designated as Sexual Assault Awareness Week, representing the collaborative efforts of the Women’s Resource Center, the Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Task Force, and the Dean of Students.

… As members of a university community, we need to support one another, speak out against victimizing behaviors, come to the aid of those in trouble.
