A great horned owl chick was placed back in its nest at the Lincoln Middle School at 11 a.m. today by Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, with the help of Avista Corporation.

Avista donated the use of its large bucket truck and the time and talents of Tom Haeder, a linesman, to reach the nest that is about 40 feet off the ground.
