Random sample of employees asked about workplace culture

A survey will be e-mailed to some WSU employees Monday, March 21, in order to gather feedback to help improve workplace culture. Provost and Executive Vice President Warwick M. Bayly is encouraging all who receive the survey to complete it.

“Participation and honest feedback is critical to the assessment process,” he said. “A high response rate will help to ensure accurate results and will demonstrate the commitment of our workforce.”

The survey is part of the Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges to Work For program to recognize institutions that have built great workplaces. It will be mailed to a random sample of WSU full-time faculty, administrators and exempt professional staff.
The survey will be confidential. It will be processed by ModernThink, LLC, a research and consulting firm focusing on workplace excellence. WSU will not be given any information that would enable survey data to be traced back to any one individual.
The Chronicle will publish the overall findings this summer. After that, WSU will receive a report that summarizes its responses to the survey questions.
