Seminar to introduce businesses to exporting

SEATTLE – A seminar title “New to Export” will be presented by the Washington Small Business Development Center and International Trade Alliance March 16-18 in Seattle.
 
The seminar is designed for small- and medium-sized businesses that want to generate or expand sales in international markets. The program will provide the primary information and resources needed to understand how to export products or services. It will cover such topics as:
 
  • finding an international market
  • distributing products
  • advertising and selling to a different culture
  • financing and making a profit
  • obtaining certifications
  • regulations and intellectual property issues
  • where to get help navigating through the process
Participants will be matched with a mentor from a successful exporting company and introduced to the export services of the SBDC.
 
Space is limited and WSBDC reserves the right to give priority to registrants who are primed to sell to a new market.
 
The seminar will be held at 13925 Interurban Ave. South, Seattle. Registration cost is $59, which includes lunch and refreshments. Parking is free.
