Math endorsement info offered to educators

VANCOUVER – In response to the nation’s call for more and better mathematics teachers, current and future educators are invited to WSU Vancouver to learn more about middle school and secondary math endorsements.

The WSU Vancouver College of Education offers a number of endorsements for certified teachers to add to their credential. Endorsements can open new doors of opportunity for teachers within their school districts and help them get their first jobs.

A free, public information night will be at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in Administration Building 129/130. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free in the Orange lots 1 and 2.

Teachers who want additional mathematics professional development and individuals who want to be certified to teach math are encouraged to attend.

The presentation will describe program goals, course requirements and timelines for completion. There will be time for participants to ask questions.
