CUB changes room rates

PULLMAN – Compton Union Building administration will introduce a new room rate structure beginning July 1, 2010.

The intent of the new rates, CUB administrators said, is to provide more flexible scheduling options and to make space more accessible to WSU community members.

A recent reservation review indicated that an average meeting taking place in the CUB lasted between two and three hours. Prior to the new rate structure, patrons could choose between a four-hour rate and an eight-hour rate.

The new rate structure will institute a three-hour standard room rate and charge per hour thereafter with a maximum of eight-hour reservation.

“We believe the new rate structure is more in line with what organizations need and will provide greater flexibility to control costs based on the length of their reservation” says John Cory, associate director of event services at the CUB.
