PULLMAN – Holiday sugar cookies spread excitement throughout the WSU campus Thursday morning.
The cookies, created by the Crimson Bake Shop, were delivered and sold at all espresso’s affiliated with WSU Dining Services.
“Nearly two dozen were delivered early this morning, but went so fast – they were almost gone by afternoon,” said Alexa Beckett, snack bar lead at the Lighty Espresso Bar.
Cookie designs included Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, reindeer and a door mouse. The cost was $1.28 per cookie, or $1.10 with Cougar Cash.
“People would approach the stand intending to get their usual drink or pastry,” said Mikeala Bauer, barista at the Lighty Espresso Bar. “Yet, they would end up ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ in delight over the cookies.”
All those indulging in the cookies seemed to be completely satisfied.
“The Santa Claus was delicious,” said Ashley Wolfe, barista at the Lighty Espresso Bar.
