Jazz Northwest presents special noontime summer concert at the WSU Art Museum

PULLMAN — Jazz Northwest, the acclaimed WSU faculty ensemble, will present a special, summer, noontime concert at the WSU Art Museum on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. The concert is free of charge and the public is invited to enjoy jazz and art in a beautiful setting.

The performance will feature original compositions by members of Jazz Northwest including “Run, Ritty, Run” by percussionist David Jarvis, “Wog” by saxophonist Dave Hagelganz, “Diva” by saxophonist Greg Yasinitsky and a unique arrangement of Charles Mingus’s “Peggy’s Blue Skylight” by bassist Frederick “Dave” Snider. Jazz Northwest also includes trumpeter David Turnbull and guitarist John Sterling.

This concert is made possible by the WSU School of Music, WSU Art Museum, and VPLAC.
