Vancouver faculty to offer forum on U.S. financial crisis

WSU Vancouver faculty will offer a public forum on the social aspects of the financial crisis on March 12 from noon-1 p.m.

The panel will discuss the significance of the current financial crisis and policy responses for the Southwest Washington community. The forum will focus specifically on the social impacts and opportunities created by the crisis and the policy responses such as the recently passed economic stimulus. This is a follow-up to forums held on Oct. 15 and Dec. 3 that received an enthusiastic community response leading to a standing-room-only crowd.

The forum will be held in the Multimedia Classroom Building, room 6. This event is free and open to the public.

The WSU Vancouver library has also compiled a resource list to help people understand the current economic situation, available online at: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/library/resources/subjects/guide.php?id=57
