Book fair supports education, outreach

The Student Washington Education Association (SWEA) is holding a Scholastic book fair on the 2nd floor of Cleveland Hall from Feb. 18-27.
 
The fair runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, for the purpose of giving students in the teacher preparation program the opportunity to build their classroom libraries.
 
The fair offers a wide selection of childrens books and young adult novels. All books are buy one, get one free.
 
The book fair is also having a Family Night on Feb. 25th. The book fair will be extended until 7 p.m., and guest readers will include Butch the Cougar, Mayor Glenn Johnson, and others.
 
Refreshments and crafts will also be provided.
