PULLMAN – The WSU Center for Advising and Career Development (CACD) will host a Career Expo and associated events next week. The Career Expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 18 in Beasley Coliseum. More than 80 companies will be attending and many will conduct interviews the following day.

Prior to the Career Expo, a number of events will be held to prepare students to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by recruiters and graduate schools. Students may participate in mock interviews with recruiters to receive advice to strengthen their interviewing skills in sessions running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Lighty Hall 106.
 
Also for those attending the Career Expo, a “Resume Doctor” session, providing an opportunity for students to bring in their resume for a critique by a career counselor, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Lighty 180.  From 2 p.m. to 4 pm on the same day, an open house also will be held in Lighty 180 and Lighty 260 featuring light appetizers and desserts.
  
Also that evening, the “Be a Star” Etiquette Dinner sponsored by CADC and Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be begin at 6:30 (doors open at 6:00 pm) in the CUB Senior Ballroom. Some employers invite students to lunch or dinner as part of the interview process and students who attend the dinner can learn proper dining skills, how to conduct conversation topics, and network building skills.
