PULLMAN – The Rothko Trio will perform at WSU at 3:10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 in the Kimbrough Concert Hall.

The Rothko Trio includes violinist Jo Nardolillo, cellist Brian Hodges and pianist Betsi Hodges. Nardolillo is an assistant professor at the University of Puget Sound (UPS) while Betsi and Brian Hodges are assistant professors at Boise State University.

During the concert, the Rothko Trio will perform works by Mozart and Ravel as well as a newly composed piece by David H. Johnson, who also teaches at UPS.

Nardolillo earned her bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, her master’s degree from Rice University, and her doctorate from Eastman School of Music.  She has performed as a concerto soloist, recitalist, concertmaster and chamber musician throughout the United States and Europe

Husband-and-wife duo Brian and Betsi Hodges have degrees from Eastman School of Music and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. They have performed recitals together in the United States, Canada and Italy.
